Merjurie Fair Ricklefs, APRN, PMHNP-BC

This is a quote that Merj lives by daily. Merjurie is a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing degree and Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification as a top student at Allen College in Waterloo, Iowa. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii, graduating Cum Laude. Passionate and driven, Merjurie is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Her experience includes working in the medical-surgical unit and behavioral health facility. As a former military spouse, she volunteered as an American Red Cross Registered Nurse at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. While there, she managed the care of service members and their dependents who were in treatment struggling from various mental health concerns such as substance misuse, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Merjurie is a passionate mental health provider that concentrates on the patient's needs and holistic well-being. Culturally competent and empathetic, she focuses on getting to know her patients and hearing their stories. She serves various clients of different races, religions, and including the LGBTQ+ community. She will be available to see clients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to adulthood, struggling with mood and bipolar disorders, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, ADHD, and more.

CBT and DBT are evidence-based modalities that assist patients who struggle with depression, trauma, panic disorders, personality disorders, bipolar, and related disorders, stress, anxiety, and anger to name a
few. CBT is a modality involving how our thoughts are interconnected with our behaviors, and this therapy helps with distorted thinking. DBT comes from CBT, and it assists clients to live in the moment, stress coping, interpersonal relationships, and how to manage emotions. As a CMIP, she can guide her patients in mindfulness-based practices working through their stressors, anxiety, trauma, depression, anger, and addiction. EMDR and ART are evidence-based therapeutic modalities that assist clients who are struggling with trauma.

When Merjurie is not working, she enjoys painting, doing home improvement projects, sightseeing, and spending time with her family and dogs.

Ashley Rohrbach, LPC, NCC

Originally from Montana, Ashley is enjoying living in Southeastern Idaho. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts, Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and her Master of Counseling in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University. Ashley practices from a Feminist Adlerian theoretical orientation but incorporates techniques and tools from many psychological theories to find the most effective modality for working with her clients. She has a clinical focus on working with individuals who identify within the LGBTGEQIAP+ identities, adolescents, and those who have experienced trauma. Her professional aim is to promote inclusivity and empowerment of marginalized populations in rural areas. 

Certifications: She holds a certificate in Animal Assisted Interventions in Counseling, which allows her to talk with clients to see if incorporating an evaluated therapy animal into sessions would be supportive and growth-fostering. She has been trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based technique that implements smooth-pursuit horizontal eye movements to facilitate memory reconsolidation. Through memory reconsolidation, an individual can find relief from somatic symptoms associated with many psychological concerns. ART has been studied and utilized in working with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, and other mental health diagnoses.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, knitting, weaving, spinning fiber, and spending time with her animals. Ashley and her family have three horses, two dogs, and two rabbits in training to be an evaluated therapy rabbit to work with her in sessions.
